Rental beach house for the wedding reception in Southern California?
Hello, I am a Florida bride planning a wedding in California South for next July 2010 and need help finding a reception location! I have already booked our Wayfarers Chapel in Rancho Palos Verdes ceremony and my place Ideally receiving a beach house overlooking the Pacific or on the beach. I found the Castillo Del Mar, but they are waaayyyy of our price range of $ 195/pp rate! Yikes! Does anyone else know of a wedding hall / house for rent thats been used for a reception? I traveled the Avia Hotel & Queen Mary in Long Beach, and Shade Hotel in Manhattan Beach. Once again, I would rent a house in front of a real scenario, but open to other suggestions. Would have to be along the coast in a place between Long Beach and Manhattan Beach as maintaining minimum distance to the chapel. Thank you in advance! Do not know what I was thinking about planning a wedding from so far away!
What about the Long Beach Museum of Art? It's in a Craftsman house on the cliff overlooking the sea and port. A problem to be implemented in the lack of parking for residences with ocean views. The streets tend to be very narrow and there are usually only in the parking lot of the street. Parking is notoriously bad along the coast of California. You need to think about where your guests park.
